Oprah had her favorites list–can’t I have one too? I think she’d approve.
1. Air conditioning–right now, we only have air conditioners in Zoey’s room and our room, so when we’re downstairs in this heat, it’s a killer! Thankfully, the air conditioning upstairs has allowed all of us to sleep well, which makes the heat during the day just a little bit easier to handle.
2. Harry Potter, part 8.2–Greg won tickets on a local radio show last week, so he and I were able to go to see the new Harry Potter movie this past Sunday afternoon (Zoey stayed with Nana and Poppy). The movie was AWESOME and it made me want to go back and read the books in order again (and yes, actually read the last book this time). If you’re a Potter fan, go see it. It’s definitely worth it.
3. Regal cinema in Ithaca–beautiful. I’ve never been in such a nice, clean theater. The seats recline and the cup holders fold out of the way so you can cuddle with your significant other while watching the movie. Greg and I pushed the cup holder between us out of the way so we could hold hands. Awww….
4. Food and Family magazine–I’ve been going through some of my old cookbooks and recipe magazines lately in an effort to weed out ones I want to sell in my family’s upcoming garage sale. What I love about Food and Family magazine is that the recipes are SO simple to follow and they don’t take a lot of time to make, which is necessary since Zoey expects dinner to be ready to serve between 6:00 and 6:30 every night. Food and Family is by Kraft, so there’s lots of product ads in each magazine, but it doesn’t bother me because they show you how you can use their products to make a delicious meal. They also have a website, which you can get to by clicking here.
