Box Love

Standard

Zoey has apparently entered the stage of being more fascinated with the box something comes in than the actual object that came in it. Last week, she was obsessed with the little box that the Boudreax Butt Paste tube came in. It was just large enough for her to put her hand in and she carried it around for a whole day until it inevitably got crushed and I threw it away the following day.

Then she moved onto a bigger box–in particular, the Luvs box that her diapers came in. At first she was all about just putting some of her toys into the box, taking them out, putting them in, taking them out. Over and over again. But then I saw her standing next to the box and while holding onto the side, she tried to lift her leg high enough to get in the box.

Well.

I put her in the box to see what would happen and of course, like any kid, she liked it. So, we started playing car. She sat in the box and I made car noises while pushing the box around the floor. I moved the box back and forth across the floor–more like a bumper car than a regular car. She LOVED it and probably would have been happy to keep it up all night if I had had the strength to do it.

About cdhoose

I'm a mom to an amazing little girl and have another little one on the way. I live in Upstate New York with my fiance and daughter, 2 big, crazy dogs and a 3-legged cat (who has an attitude). I hate know-it-alls, Lindsay Lohan and socks with holes in them. I always seem to get myself into trouble (which entertains my fiance to no end), but I try hard to be a good parent. Also, I occasionally work on scrapbooking the fifty billion pictures I've taken of my kid. And I like ice cream. The end.
