Dear Fashion Bug in Cortland,

You might be my new best friend. for me, trips into clothing store dressing rooms have kind of become a time filled with anxiety, frustration and sometimes tears. Apparently most stores think that if you’re larger than a size two, you should only wear a burlap sack–hence their lack of stylish clothing for girlies like myself who have curves.

But then there’s you, Fashion Bug.

Do you know how incredibly happy it made me when I visited your store this past weekend and actually found things that fit me?!?! I am one happy girl and I’m so glad that you, unlike many other stores, have decided to carry a large selection of clothing for my kind (size: not skinny). Yep, no anorexic model wannabes there. Just pretty clothes for nice girls with curves. And for that, I thank you.

In all seriousness, I have to give huge props to Fashion Bug for their large selection of clothing for curvy girls. It’s not every day that you find a store that has a small teen section and a rockin’ misses/plus section. I’m not kidding when I say I have hated clothes shopping for a long time now, but when I went to Fashion Bug on Sunday, I was surprised that it was actually a pleasant experience. Plus, I had a gift certificate for $50 from my birthday, they were having sales (30% off your total order in you purchased 3 items from specific racks) and they talked me into signing up for their credit card, which gave me another 20% off my purchase.

I ended up getting a pair of jeans, a pair of khakis, an awesome long jean skirt and a long-sleeved shirt for only twenty dollars. TOTALLY worth it since each of those articles of clothing were about $40.00 (each) to begin with.

About cdhoose

I'm a mom to an amazing little girl and have another little one on the way. I live in Upstate New York with my fiance and daughter, 2 big, crazy dogs and a 3-legged cat (who has an attitude). I hate know-it-alls, Lindsay Lohan and socks with holes in them. I always seem to get myself into trouble (which entertains my fiance to no end), but I try hard to be a good parent. Also, I occasionally work on scrapbooking the fifty billion pictures I've taken of my kid. And I like ice cream. The end.
