Zoey is getting her first hair cut this Saturday. I am expecting tantrums, gnashing of teeth and possibly tears (probably mine) because she’s not all that good at sitting still for more than two seconds. Greg’s cousin, Kim, is going to do the cutting (and it’s really only Zoey’s bangs because they’ve grown out so long that she’s starting to look like Justin Beiber. Greg and I are NOT fans of the Beib), but Zoey doesn’t see Kim that often and I’m worried that her ‘stranger’ anxiety is going to kick in. Should she sit on my lap? Should we plan on bribing her with candy? Does anyone have any ideas? Is this thing on?
Please leave suggestions or tips on first-time hair cuts–or recipes for a great strawberry margarita–in the comments section (see link at the bottom of this post). Also if you have any, um, advice on how Mommy should deal with possibly bursting out in tears about blubbering about how her baby is growing up too fast, I would greatly appreciate it if you’d share.
