Dora Returneth (And We’re a Little Weirded Out)

Standard

Remember when I wrote about how Zoey put her Dora radio in the dish washer without us knowing and it went through the full cycle? And remember how I told you Greg and I decided to hide it because we didn’t want her to know it was probably forever ruined? If you have no idea what I’m talking about, click here to get caught up.

Soooo, the other night after Zoey went to bed, Greg pulled out the radio, put fresh batteries in it and IT WORKED. How is that even possible? The thing is just one big ball of electronics and it went through the wash AND dry cycle of our dishwasher. Mind you, our dishwasher isn’t the best in the world, but COME ON. That thing should NOT be working right now. And yet, Greg and I both agree that it is somehow working better than it did prior to its bath. Is that even possible? I don’t think so.

Greg put the radio (which we’re now convinced might be possessed) in Zoey’s toy box and the very next day, she found it. Oh my gosh, you guys, the way her face lit up when she saw her radio… She played with it the rest of the afternoon. She was so happy and because of that, I don’t care if the radio DOES have nine lives like a cat. I’m just glad my little girl is happy.

But seriously, isn’t it weird that it’s working again after a bath in the dishwasher?

About cdhoose

I'm a mom to an amazing little girl and have another little one on the way. I live in Upstate New York with my fiance and daughter, 2 big, crazy dogs and a 3-legged cat (who has an attitude). I hate know-it-alls, Lindsay Lohan and socks with holes in them. I always seem to get myself into trouble (which entertains my fiance to no end), but I try hard to be a good parent. Also, I occasionally work on scrapbooking the fifty billion pictures I've taken of my kid. And I like ice cream. The end.
