Finding a decent Halloween costume that isn’t going to cost an arm and a leg and is pretty good quality is tough. You could rent one, but then they always smell like Other People; you could make your own, but that takes time and what if you left your sewing ability back in home ec. class in high school? Enter costumediscounters.com. Not only do they have adorable costumes, but their prices are pretty reasonable.
This is our Zoey Grace in the toddler bee costume, courtesy of costumediscounters.com. Everything you see in this picture (minus the kid) comes included in the package: bee dress complete with adorable tutu, black leggings and two armlets (that totally complete the look, by the way), an adorable headband and wings (not pictured because there was no way I was going to try to put wings on a squirmy toddler). All of that for less than $35. Talk about worth it.
Now let’s get to the nitty gritty stuff. A lot of kids don’t like their Halloween costumes after about a half an hour or so because they’re uncomfortable and feel itchy. Not so with these costumes. After the above picture was taken, Zoey insisted in staying in her bee costume for the rest of the evening and probably would have gone to bed in it if Greg and I hadn’t put our foot down. The polyester and spandex material was comfortable enough that Zoey spent the evening running around the house, playing with her toys–even crawling through the kitchen–and she wasn’t uncomfortable at all. Thankfully, the outfit is easily-washable, so she can play dress-up with it many more times before Halloween rolls around.
And don’t think that costumediscounters.com only carries children’s costumes. Nope. They have a wide range of adult costumes, including plus sizes, as well as costumes for your pets, decorations and accessories.
But let’s say you order a costume, it gets delivered and you realize it’s the wrong size or whatever. CostumeDiscounters.com pays shipping both ways for damaged goods, wrong sizes and exchanges. Because they want you to have a quality product. And by the smile on my baby’s face in the picture above, I think they succeeded.
