Recipe: Taco Skillet Dinner

Standard

Ingredients:

1 lb. ground beef

1 pkg. taco seasoning mix

2-1/2 cups water

7 oz. (2 cups) uncooked elbow macaroni

4 oz. shredded cheese (I did a nice layer of cheese, instead of measuring it out)

2 green onions sliced (optional)

1/2 container sour cream

1 large tomato, chopped (I used two in the picture above)

Directions:

Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Add taco seasoning mix, water and macaroni. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Stir. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook 8-10 minutes or until macaroni is of desired doneness, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese and onion. Cover with sour cream. Sprinkle with tomatoes.

About cdhoose

I'm a mom to an amazing little girl and have another little one on the way. I live in Upstate New York with my fiance and daughter, 2 big, crazy dogs and a 3-legged cat (who has an attitude). I hate know-it-alls, Lindsay Lohan and socks with holes in them. I always seem to get myself into trouble (which entertains my fiance to no end), but I try hard to be a good parent. Also, I occasionally work on scrapbooking the fifty billion pictures I've taken of my kid. And I like ice cream. The end.
