If you haven’t read the first part of our Easter weekend, you might want to take a look here.
Let’s get right into it:
So, as I mentioned in the last post, the Easter Bunny had left a special basket full of goodies for Zoey at Aunt Kim’s house. She had already tried out the bubbles with her cousin Lisa at their house, but when we got back home, she was all about trying out the sidewalk chalk. Since the weather was actually cooperating for the first time in MONTHS, Greg, Zoey and I headed outside to play.
The sidewalk chalk was shaped like a piece of cake, a doughnut and a piece of pie.
Daddy helped a little:
He was drawing a rocket ship
But then the call of the road drew Zoey away from the sidewalk chalk and towards her car (she told us she was going shopping):
She refused to let me put her hair in a ponytail.
Daddy helped a little again:
And then she took some time to run laps across our lawn between Greg and I:
Even though this picture is blurry, I love it. I’m glad she didn’t let me put her hair in a ponytail.
Like I said, at that moment, the weather was cooperating and I think all three of us (and our dogs) were relieved to be out in the sunshine and having fun. After a long winter of being stuck inside on cold, cold days, it was refreshing to walk outside without even a jacket on.
We definitely took advantage of it while we could; the following day it poured until nighttime when it started to snow. Again. Ugh.
Stay tuned for Our Easter Weekend, part three–where we actually talk about Easter day.
